What You’ll Need:

• 7 popsicle sticks
• 3 rubber bands
• 1 plastic spoon
• Mini marshmallows (or small objects to launch)

Steps:

1. Create the base: Stack 5 popsicle sticks together and secure both ends tightly with rubber bands.
2. Make the launching arm: Take the remaining 2 popsicle sticks and place the spoon on top of one stick. Secure the spoon’s handle to the stick using a rubber band.
3. Assemble the catapult:
   • Insert the stack of 5 sticks between the two sticks of your launching arm to create a cross shape.
   • Adjust the placement so that the spoon side extends out, creating leverage.
4. Test it out: Place a mini marshmallow in the spoon, press the spoon down slightly, and release to launch!
